I think that it would be helpful for prospective members to learn more a bit about this website. To that end, I decided to create a Q&A on questions and concerns that people may have before they decide to register. Some of it is explained briefly on the front page and the rules and guidelines, but more information is always good.
How can this website really be for real?
It may seem incredible to some people that a website like this can even exist. This is largely because practically every single comment about pedophilia that is even mildly sympathetic has been been removed from mainstream social media websites. For this reason, pedophile communities may seem completely non-existent or restricted to very shady places.
Thanks to the freedom of speech, legal support communities for pedophiles are possible. There are other communities besides this one as well, but unfortunately child-lover communities tend to be small and few in number. It takes a lot of effort and skill to create and maintain a website like this. Unfortunately, it is also hard for newcomers to even find the places.
What is the purpose of GATB?
GATB is a legal and safe support community for people who are attracted to little girls where they can talk freely without judgment. You can seek out support for any difficulties in your acceptance of pedophilia or you can simply talk about how much you love little girls or describe a cute moment with them.
What is on GATB?
Once you are admitted as a member, you will see a discussion forum. The discussion forum is fairly active; there are various topics related to girl love, pedophile support, friendly debates, user-created artworks, among other things. People usually post on the forum at least several times a day.
The most active part of GATB is the chat. It is open every day, often for hours at a time. The discussion in chat is often similar to the forum, but it tends to be more casual and personal.
Is GATB legal?
Yes, GATB is fully legal and the staff works hard to ensure that the experience is safe and legal. GATB goes by the laws of the United States, and thanks to strong freedom of speech laws it can exist. The rules of GATB are regarded as being very important, they are not just there for the sake of it.
How does the staff ensure that GATB stays legal?
All links that are posted on the forum and in chat are withheld for staff review before they can be visible to other members. Similarly, avatars and attached images are approved prior to being visible. The staff carefully enforce the rules; they care deeply about GATB and want it to stay a safe and legal experience for many years to come.
How does GATB make sure members are secure and safe?
GATB does not require you to use an email address to register. The forum and chat are designed to work without JavaScript. The staff are careful to notice members giving out excessive amounts of personal information and will edit it if deemed necessary. Members are encouraged to be careful about sharing too much personal information. Members are encouraged to stay law-abiding and follow their local laws.
Does GATB allow pro-contact people and anti-contract people, or discriminate against any views or where people come from?
GATB welcomes everybody regardless where they come from and what they believe in. We believe that all girl lovers deserve support regardless of their views. Whether you are anti-contact or pro-contact, we welcome and are happy to have everybody. There is a good balance of the views of members here. For example, I am anti-contact and a staff member here.
The most important rule of GATB is the first rule: We do not tolerate any form of disrespect, harassment, or other mistreatment of girls, on-site or off.
If you follow this rule, that is all that is needed to be welcomed here.
We take our rules seriously. We will never shadow ban people, suddenly invent new retroactive rules to ban someone, or ban people because of personal dislike or differing views without taking the rules into account. The process is designed to be transparent and public.
If GATB is not an image-sharing forum, then why are there many pictures in chat?
We understand that this may seem confusing to new people who pop into chat especially. However, this rule is necessary to deter people who are here for the wrong reasons (illegal content seekers).
Real pictures of little girls are allowed to be posted on the forum and in chat. As described previously, all links are subject to review before they are visible. In addition, it is prohibited to link to upload sites (such as imgur and other drag-and-drop image upload websites) and image boards (Rule 8).
Occasionally sharing pictures of little girls for the sake of cuteness is permitted. Similarly, you are also allowed to post an avatar and signature picture of a real child. However, treating GATB as an image-sharing website will either get you severely disappointed or banned. The focus of GATB is on discussion and support.
Why does chat seem empty and quiet sometimes?
The staff opens chat at many hours of the day. Sometimes there are slow periods with little activity. However, this simply means that the chat has a slow period. On some occasions, especially during the evening and night hours of American time zones, the chat can be bustling with so much activity that it is hard to keep up with the conversation. There have been times where there have been a dozen members actively chatting with each other.
Is it fine to lurk in chat and on the forum?
Yes, absolutely! We recognize that new members may be nervous and want to look around first before they become more active. This is completely fine, there is no obligation to post anything. Members will not be treated differently if they decide to mainly lurk. We fully understand that it takes time for people to get more comfortable and familiarized with GATB.
Why are the public threads so empty?
Unfortunately the public threads are a fairly new feature that has been severely under-utilized. This may falsely lead new prospective members to believe that GATB is dead and barely active, which is far from the truth.
My introduction did not get accepted, what do I do know?
If your introduction is rejected, you are welcome and encouraged to try again. Simply please try to follow the directions to get admitted and read and show that you understand the rules of the forum.
How long does it take for my introduction to be approved?
This is highly dependent on when you posted your introduction and the quality of your introduction. A high quality quality introduction can be approved instantly if staff are online at the time. If you post a vague and barely passable introduction, it will most likely take longer for the staff to decide if it should be accepted. However, at most expect a day for an introduction to either get accepted or get a rejection.
Do I have to be vague in my introduction?
We get a lot of introductions where people are very vague about why they come here. Every other introduction has essentially some variant of "like-minded people" with little other description. I am unsure exactly why this is the case, but I suspect that some people may be cautious and hesitant to be fully descriptive.
In actuality, that is the purpose of GATB, to talk freely about your love of little girls. You are encouraged to talk about your attractions to little girls in your introduction. The staff is always happy to see a new prospective member that loves little girls.
Do I need write my own words when I post an introduction?
Yes, you do. Copying and pasting all or part of another person's introduction is the quickest way to get your introduction rejected. This seems obvious, but a surprisingly high number of people think they can lazily copy another person's accepted introduction and get admitted.
What exactly do the directions of the introduction mean when they refer to the rules page?
It seems like many people get confused by this one and sometimes they will reference the guidelines instead of the rules. The "rules" are marked as such; they consist of the 8 labelled points at the top of the page. These are more important than the guidelines. These are what must be referenced in your introduction to get admitted.
Why do I need I need to reference the rules in my introduction if I already read them?
In order to maintain a legal and safe community, it is essential that new members actually show that they understand the rules. It is very common for people to say that they read the rules and conditions to essentially anything they sign up for, but in most cases they actually do not read them at all (think of pretty much anything you signed up for and absentmindedly checked the terms and conditions without reading anything). However, in the case of GATB, actually understanding the rules is what keeps GATB legal and staying online. This may seem silly to state, but there have been rejected introductions where people wrote that they understood the rules and then immediately after wrote something that was very against the rules.
